University of Ruhunua
Founded in 1978, University of Ruhuna is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the suburban setting of the small city of Matara (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Southern Province. Officially recognized by the University Grants Commission of Sri Lanka, University of Ruhuna is a large (uniRank enrollment range: 10,000-14,999 students) coeducational Sri Lankan higher education institution. University of Ruhuna offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees in several areas of study.
